Terms of Use

Welcome to WBF - Wanna Be Friends? (the "Service"). The Service is operated by Shikma Ventures, LLC, a Delaware (USA) limited liability company, 131 Continental Dr, Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713 ("WBF", "we"). Using the Service and subscribing to the membership are subject to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not register.

1. What the Service is

WBF is a social introduction service for women who want to make new friends. When you register you fill in a profile and preferences; our team reviews matches between members and suggests one-on-one meetups ("friendship dates"). The Service is not a dating service and is not intended for romantic introductions.

At this stage matches are made manually by our team, and the full system is still in development. A match is not guaranteed and is not immediate. The membership gives you participation in an ongoing matching service, not a result: in every week of active membership your profile stays in the matching process, is reviewed against new members, and you are notified when there is a suggestion. We answer every message within 3 business days.

2. Who may register

The Service is intended for women aged 18 and over. By registering you confirm that you are at least 18, that the details you provided are accurate, and that you are registering for yourself only.

3. Membership and payment

• Price: USD 1 per week. Taxes may apply under applicable law; where they do, they are shown on the payment page.
• Automatic renewal: the membership renews automatically every 7 days and is charged in advance for each period, until you cancel.
• Payment method: payment is processed by Stripe, a third-party payment provider. Card details are given to Stripe only and are never stored by us.
• Currency conversion: if your card is in another currency, your card issuer may charge a conversion fee. This is outside our control.
• Failed payments: if a charge fails, Stripe will retry. If payment is not completed, the membership is paused and no match will be offered until payment is settled.

4. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time, without penalty and without giving a reason: through manage membership (sign in with the email you registered with), the link in your confirmation email, or by emailing hello@wannabefriends.co. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current weekly billing period, and no further charge is made after that. Email cancellations are processed within 3 business days and apply from the date the request was received.

Where the Israeli Consumer Protection Law, 1981, applies to the transaction, your cancellation rights under it (including for continuous transactions and distance sales) apply in addition to the above, and in case of conflict the law prevails.

5. Refunds

Because the membership is weekly and costs USD 1, no refund is given for a week that has already started, except where required by law or where the Service was not provided due to a fault on our side. We handle such requests fairly: write to us.

6. Conduct at meetups and safety

• Meetups take place in public places. We recommend not sharing your home address and never transferring money to another member.
• We do not verify members' identity or background. Responsibility for conduct at a meetup lies with the participants, and we ask you to use the same judgement you would with any new acquaintance.
• Your contact details are never passed to another member without your explicit consent, and we ask you to treat hers the same way.
• You can report abusive behaviour to us, and we may remove a member from the Service for breaching these terms, without a refund for the current period.

7. Prohibited use

The Service may not be used for commercial purposes, marketing, romantic dating, harassment, impersonation, collecting other members' details, or in breach of the law.

8. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided as is. We do not promise continuous availability, a number of matches, or any outcome. Subject to applicable law, our total liability to you in connection with the Service will not exceed the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the event. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be waived by law.

9. Privacy

Collection and use of information are governed by the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. Payment and membership data (customer id, subscription id, status and billing dates) are kept by us; card details are kept by Stripe only.

10. Changes to the terms and the price

We may update these terms. For a material change, and in particular a price change, we will email you at least 14 days in advance, and you can cancel before it takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Israel, and the competent courts of the Central District, Israel, have exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing here limits mandatory consumer rights under the law of your place of residence.
